Although the instruction manuals for induction heating equipment now stipulate that the cooling water should be "pure soft water," due to limitations and the lack of attention from users, many manufacturers may use substandard water quality. Even if the water quality meets the requirements, factors affecting the management and maintenance of the soft water system can lead to issues such as electrolysis and scale blocking the waterways, which in turn affects the normal use of the equipment or causes damage to components and other related problems.
The water pressure loading range for induction heating equipment is 0.2%-0.3MPa. However, when users use the equipment, the water pressure they load is either too low or too high, which can adversely affect the equipment. For instance, excessively high water pressure can cause pipe bursts or leaks, thereby threatening the equipment's circuitry; low water pressure's cooling effect can cause damage to the IGBT or other components. Therefore, it is recommended to design the waterway when using induction heating equipment.
When the induction heating equipment operates normally and encounters a water supply issue, although the main unit has a protective function, the high temperature of the furnace body and the heated workpiece make it difficult for the furnace body to cool down in a short time. This can easily cause damage to the furnace body.
The induction heating environment may be filled with dust, oil smoke, water vapor, and other small particles. Considering that the main unit of the equipment is equipped with an exhaust fan, the vacuum pressure generated during its operation will cause these small particles to be sucked into the gaps. They then stick to electrical components, printed circuit boards, and the surfaces of installed conductors. On one hand, this causes components or parts with poor heat dissipation to have their insulation layers damaged; on the other hand, high pressure occurs inside the equipment, potentially causing arcing in mild cases and even leading to combustion in severe cases.
Therefore, the damage caused by abnormalities in the cooling water system to induction heating equipment is significant. When using induction heating equipment, it is crucial to follow its usage specifications and not use it due to failures or other factors.
